Feng Shui Tips for Shifting Energy and Improving Life
When you hear “feng shui,” do you think of some deep and complicated philosophy? There is depth to it but it’s certainly not complicated. Incorporating feng shui into your everyday life is doable with or without an expert. Perform these for a start:
Declutter.
A more orderly home with less items instantly uplifts your mood. There are less things fighting for your attention so you’ve got a mind that’s at peace. Try it and you’ll feel freer than you did with the mess and tons of items around.
Choose the right color for each area of the home.
Red is associated with passion and desire. If you want to bring those into your sexual life, then it should dominate your bedroom. Orange is a social color, which would be appropriate for social areas like the dining room or living room. Purple emits high vibrations so it should be used carefully.
Tall windows and ceilings.
These create a feeling of space. It keeps your tall family members and guests from feeling trapped or cramped. When there’s little ventilation, the negative feelings constantly nag at people’s minds and interfere with relationships.
Change your environment.
Small changes have big effects so there’s no need to remodel the home. Rearrange the furniture or the decorations. Switch out the centerpiece for a new one and you’ll see what we mean. You can also try a different route on the way to your walk or during your jog.
Do small habits.
Continuous progress is more important than huge transformations. They’re also easier to follow through and stick to. Big goals are important but it’s better to chop them into bite-sized steps like walking for 30 minutes a day, instead of planning hours-long sessions at the gym. You’ll feel less intimidated and more empowered to take action.
Working with feng shui experts are great but integrating feng shui practices on your own is helpful when you’re on a tight budget or as a trial before making that big investment of hiring a specialist. Let us know how it turns out and if you know of other effective but simple ways of enhancing the flow of chi.
