Did you know that when it comes to symbols of good luck and good fortune in China, the dragon isn’t the only mythical creature that can bring this about?

The other animal is one that the rest of the world is not very familiar with. 

Pixiu or Pi Yao is a celestial animal that is considered a god beast in Chinese mythology. It has the head of a dragon, a body of a horse, the horns of a deer and the claws of a unicorn. It is also said to have a beard as well as wings which allow it to fly.  

It is said that this creature draws wealth from all directions through its mouth, whether at home or at the workplace.  And that it has no anus, so whatever wealth it ingests stays protected within and does not flow out. It is especially fond of money, gold, silver and jewels. 

The Pixiu is also said to ward of evil spirits, guard homes and bring good luck in romantic relationships. 

A lot of people have discovered the power of a Pixiu bracelet when it comes to drawing in wealth.  Here are a few tips on how to wear one properly.

1. Minors under 16 years old, people over the age of 70 and pregnant women should not wear the bracelet. Neither should menstruating women, or those suffering from indigestion or constipation.

2. The bracelet is best worn on the left hand because vital energy is said to enter from the left and exit through the right. Also make sure to wear the head outward to draw in wealth from all directions.

3. When you are not wearing your bracelet, place it in the living room with the head facing the main door. Do not put it in your bedroom.

4. Always touch the Pixiu while wearing it to create a bond with it and let it know you are its owner. If someone else touches it, simply rinse off the bracelet with water.
